Northern - Southern Power Distribution Department is in sixth floor of EDL Headquarters, Lao-Thai Friendship Road, P.O. Box 309, Thongkang Village, Sisattanak District, Vientiane Capital. Lao PDR.
Role and Responsibility
The Northern-Southern Distribution Department is among the department that is under the Board of Managing Directors of EDL; it acts as a Secretariat of the Board of Managing Directors of EDL and overseeing various northern and southern provinces in the operations of the distributions and services of electricity that contributes to the social-economic developments that align with the directions of the Party-State. The Committee acts as an Assistant and liaise with multiple sectors that are directly under EDL include: the supply of information; giving comments; certification; drafting of regulations and provisions for the consideration and approve the work of major provinces under its responsibilities; supply the electricity and expand the power grid to the remote areas in accordance with the annual plans of the EDL.
